Used this same model for a couple contracts, cab was quiet and I liked that digital display, easy to read. Travel pedal works alright, gets you across bigger lots faster. Factory HVAC is there, although I barely used it cause temps were mild. The machine looks pretty good and didn’t feel worn out, but the seat could use some extra padding if you’re in it all day, my back started to ache after a while. Controls are switchable which I appreciate since some of the guys on my crew run the alternate pattern. Didn’t have any unexpected breakdowns, which is always nice. Price seemed fair to me compared to others I looked at.

What I noticed about the 320CL is it's simple and familiar - nothing fancy, just a decent excavator that holds value. Stability is pretty good with the long carriage and wide pads, really nice for moving heavy loads without that tippy feeling. Controls are smooth enough but I've had other Cats that responded a bit quicker. Engine is tried and true, never gave me issues. The vandal covers are a plus for some of the jobsites where you worry about stuff getting messed with overnight. Maintenance is alright but I wouldn't call it the easiest due to some awkward spots to check things. Haven't found rust or anything serious to complain about.

Alright, I've spent a few weeks on the 320CL. Bit bigger than the regular ones, feels wide but that extra width does make it less shaky with heavy lifts. Original paint's faded and there are a few dents, looks rough if that matters to you. Ran smooth, no mechanical issues, but holy hell it's still dirty inside, coulda put in more effort cleaning it. Battery disconnect came in handy a couple times. Haven't used the radio - never works in these. Bucket teeth were pretty fresh though, so that's a plus. Not fancy inside but gets the job done. Would have loved if they fixed that missing lamp before selling it.

Been operating a 320CL for a while now, picked it up used with around 6k hours. Gotta say, the engine on this one (Cat 3066) hasn't given any trouble so far and hydraulics are tight, no leaks anywhere yet. What I really dig is you can swap out the controls without much fuss-makes it easier when you gotta hop between different machines or bring someone else in. The cab's roomy enough and AC actually works. Only thing kinda annoying is the teeth on the bucket were gone when I bought it, so that's a bit of an extra cost and hassle to deal with right away. But overall, pretty straightforward machine, hasn't let me down yet.
