I've operated similar models, and the PC35 MR holds up well. Its mobility and transportation profile are convenient. The engine provides sufficient power, but the cabin space might feel tight for extended use. Maintenance access is straightforward, which is a big plus.

I gave the Komatsu PC40 a go for excavation tasks. Controls are straightforward; didn’t take long to get familiar. Found the seating position decent but could use better cushioning; long days get noticeable. Price was within reasonable bounds for what it delivers. Didn’t face any machine breakdowns even under stress, so reliability gets a thumbs up. Maintenance seemed par for the course - accessible enough without too much fuss. It’s functional, just some personal tweaks I’d say would make it more user-friendly.

Using this excavator for a variety of projects, I've found the digging performance strong. The offset boom is a great feature for precise tasks. The machine could use an upgraded control setup, but otherwise, it performs efficiently. Its fuel efficiency is noteworthy.

I've been operating various excavators for years. The Komatsu PC78 stands out for its maneuverability, thanks to the minimum radius feature. Stability is another plus, even with the bucket at full extension. However, the cab's design, while functional, could do with a bit more space for comfort during longer hours.

Honestly, the main thing I noticed was how quiet the cab felt. You close the door and it's just you and the controls, none of that droning noise that some others have. Probably the smoothest controls I've used in this size. Did a bunch of landscaping with it across awkward access spots, width makes a difference. Fuel use seems decent but I don't really keep tabs there since it's company fill up. I guess you gotta expect the premium for the Komatsu name, but support is everywhere if you need help. Not every feature is going to matter for everyone, like the satellite tracking stuff, but I kinda like getting those service reminders.
