The forming and portioning machine , type ESF 400 , has not only been developed for the production of hamburgers , but it can also be utilised for numerous other operations . The special mould plate filling system makes it possible to form and portion even very delicate products . The prepared pieces of meat or vegetables are deposited into the hooper and then formed to the required form and shape . Because of the unique method of mould plate filling the structure of the material is not destroyed and in the case of meat products eliminates smear and results in a marbled appearance . The speed of the mould plate can be adjusted steplessly . The machine is operated by pneaumatic/hydraulic control . Because of the fact that the hooper can be raised automatically, the exchange of mould plates is very simple and can be done in only few minutes .
